Nick Blomgren began training in Martial Arts in 1975. He realized early in his life that he was passionate about learning all he could about the Arts. Nick competed in various styles of Martial Arts as well as Boxing. Encouragement from his Master Instructors and peers led him to open his own training facility in 1993. He is not only an accomplished athlete but a gifted teacher of Martial Arts as well. Some of Nick's students having completed Black Prajioud Certification have continued on through his Instructor Training Program achieving Kru status not only recognized by One Kick's Gym but also by the USMTA. All OKG instructors have completed these courses as well as learning the One Kick way of teaching.
To date Nick Blomgren has trained more than 25 World Champions and many top contenders in various types of Martial Arts as well as Mixed Martial Arts. Some notable fighters he trained are Alfie Alcaraz, Phil Baroni, Stephan Bonnar, Steve Cantwell, Dewey Cooper, Chuck Liddell, Ray Sefo, and many more, plus many more to come. Nick is highly respected worldwide in the Martial Arts community. To name just a few of his many accolades he has earned Arjarn (Master Instructor) status under the United States Muay Thai Association (USMTA), was inducted into the Karate and Kickboxing Hall of Fame in 1998, inducted into the Masters Hall of Fame in 2010, and also received the Living Legend Award during his induction.
