Master Nick “One Kick” Blomgren trained under Jason Hann to earn his 5th Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. For several years he also trained under Master Joe Salamoni in the art of North American Gung Fu as well as Boxing. Master Nick has studied the art of Muay Thai at the Sasiprapa Gym in Thailand for the past 15 years under Thakoon Pongsupa and returns there yearly to train. During his fighting career he traveled the world competing and winning many Championships. Master Nick opened his first gym, appropriately named “One Kick’s Gym”, in 1993 and has earned many accolades including being inducted into the Karate and Kickboxing Hall Of Fame in 1998. Master Nick has trained more than 10 World Champions.
Master Lookchang was born and raised in Bangkok, Thailand where he studied the art of Muay Thai for more than 20 years at the Jokkygym under Master Sommard Hongsakoon. He competed in Muay Thai Championships in Thailand becoming the Rajadamnern Stadium Champion at the age of 16, and at the age of 19 he won that prestigious title once again. Master Lookchang continued to win championship after championship until retiring as a fighter to become a trainer to students from all over the world – more than five of them becoming World Champions. One of those champions is Sanchi who is the current #1 fighter in Thailand. Master Lookchang has resided in Las Vegas, Nevada for the past 8 years, and is a respected instructor here at One Kick’s Gym.
Master Ricardo Cavalcanti was born in Rio de Janeiro,Brazil. He has since obtained his 5th degree black belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu under the world famous Carlson Gracie. He won several championships, including the 1998 Pan American games in Hawaii, the 2001 Pela Federacao International de Jui Jitsu World Championship,most recently the California Games in June 2002. He has instructed Judo and Jiu Jitsu at several schools, including the Carlson Gracie Academy, the Rio Sports Center, Park Palace, the Academia Da Praia, and his current roles at Carlson Gracie Team Las Vegas / One Kick’s Gym located at 3950 East Sunset Road, Las Vegas, NV 89120. As well as his Jiu Jitsu instruction for the Henderson police depatment and S.W.A.T. Team. His true love has always been teaching children the art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, and kids love his classes where he combines a fun atmosphere with important lessons that teach balance, confidence, and skill. Ricardo specializes in teaching kids with Down’s Syndrome and children under 5 years old. He also specializes in self defense for women and executives.
